Thon Hotel Astoria is a cosy budget-hotel in downtown Oslo. We are located only 50 metres from the main street Karl Johan, in close proximity to everything the city has to offer. Shopping, galleries, museums, restaurants and nightlife are just minutes away.
The hotel is easily accessible with public transportation, and is only a short 5 minute walk from Oslo Central Station. We do not have hotel parking, but Paleet garage is only 2 blocks away. Please ask our front desk staff for directions.
Rooms:
We have 180 comfortable guest rooms, most of them facing towards the back. Due to our very central location you may experience some city noise as traffic and music from bars. 50 of the rooms are brand new, and were opened January 7th 2008. All are equipped with hairdryer, telephone and television, and all have private bathrooms with showers.
We do not have minibars or pay-tv, but refreshments and snacks can be purchased from the vending machines in the lobby. We have 6 free tv-channels, also international.
In addition to our standard rooms, we offer a few smoking rooms, rooms without carpet, and family rooms. Wireless Internet is available in the entire hotel, also in the breakfast room. A free guest computer is available in the lobby.

There is no upfront payment, we require valid credit card details to guarantee the reservation, however all clients pay direct to the hotel upon departure. Your credit card will be validated to secure your booking.
There is no charge if cancellations are made two (2) days prior arrival: Cancellations made late or no-shows will be charged one (1) night cancellation / no-show fee.
Please note that on special dates with fairs and exhibitions the cancellation policy may vary.
